This is the final version of a Corten steel fountain designed by Christiane of Christiane Holmquist Landscape Design. We addressed several issues in creating this, including plumbing with an underground reservoir and auto-fill, as well as finding a way to allow controlled rusting. This required some thought and experimentation, but we got it! This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. Turf Alternatives: 10/27/2011
We had a request from the owner of this property to remove most of the lawn and find a way to use less water. The bigger challenge was that this is mostly on the north side of the residence and is shady most of the day, especially in the winter. We've had good luck with Phormium 'Amazing Red', Dwart Papyrus, Grass Palms and ornamental grasses as ground cover, including Carex 'Evergold' and Sessleria 'Glauca' (Blue Moor Grass). Who needs lawn???????????? Greetings and Welcome! 09/16/2011
